Association of Microchip Database Operators (AMDO) is excited to announce our first conference. AMDO was formed in 2023 by a group of Defra-compliant databases that regularly discussed the industry as a whole. In launching our conference we want to create a space and a forum for veterinary professionals, animal rescues, dog wardens etc where they can:
- Learn about the ever-changing world of pet microchip databases in the UK
- Stay abreast of upcoming changes in legislation to help ensure they can help their organisation and customers comply with microchipping legislation.
- Stay up to date on best practices and what they can expect from AMDO member databases.
Our agenda is still coming together but expect:
- An update from Defra on legislation changes
- Learn more about the 10 June change to make microchipping compulsory for cats.
- Hear from rescues about how they run their animal rescues.
- A session with a pet marketing expert, learn new and innovative engagement methods to fundraise as a rescue or help your business as a veterinary professional.
